Henley Cafe Scientifique

SINCE February 2012, and after nearly 110 enjoyable monthly meetings, it is becoming evident that Cafe Scientifique Henley cannot continue to rely solely on a few ageing enthusiasts to organise and run events.

All too often now one or two of us becomes unavailable and these shortages are coming close to forcing event cancellations. We need to act now.

A plan is needed to evolve the “committee” to include about six volunteers.

This will ensure the Cafe will continue to bring the news of the latest science and research to this community for the foreseeable future.

Once we have some volunteers we can sit down and work out how to best organise ourselves.

It is not onerous and speakers are in place through to June so we have time to build a team that works for everyone.

Thank you for attending all those events and hopefully events will continue to be give pleasure in our lives going forward.
