THE Rotary Club of Maiden Erlegh is proud to announce the distribution of more than 2,200 frozen meals to individuals and families in January and February.
These meals, funded by the proceeds of the club’s charity art and craft fair held in October, were a collaborative effort between the Thomas Franks Foundation and Leighton Park School.
The foundation staff at the school prepared and packaged the meals, which were delivered by Rotarians to community hubs across Reading, Shinfield, Winnersh, Wokingham and Finchampstead.
Club president Richard Nicholson said: “This project is a significant endeavour for us and we are thrilled to be able to assist so many people.
“The generosity of the public at our art and craft fair has made this possible.
“Our partnership with the Thomas Franks Foundation and Leighton Park School has been instrumental in providing real benefits to the local community, particularly during these challenging times.”
