Survey ordered to find cause of pond’s falling water levels

WE have been getting together for a year and I think that everyone has enjoyed themselves.
Barbara Wood is now much improved and the book club met at her house. The lunch club met at the Côte Restaurant.
There are plans for an outing to Stanlake Vineyard on Thursday, May 30. The cost is £25 and needs to be paid at the April meeting.
After the formalities we were introduced to our speaker, David Howell, who is a churchwarden at St Barnabas Church in Emmer Green and he gave a very interesting and informative talk about the church (we meet in the church hall).
After the talk we had the usual cup of tea and biscuit before the raffle was drawn.
I know how hard the small committee works to bring us such entertainment. If anyone else feels that they could contribute, please let Sue Green know as she would be very pleased to have a few more bodies to call on.
Our £25 annual subs were due at the April meeting. I don’t think that is an excessive amount when we have a speaker most months and, let’s face it, many a good laugh.
