The Chiltern Centre

AFTER our beautiful supper club at Britwell House we are excited to share details of our next special evening on Saturday, November 9.

Our second supper club takes us to the little village of Remenham and into the wonderful surroundings of Remenham Court, nestled on the hill just off the River Thames.

The evening includes a tour of the house with the estates manager and host for the evening, Vince. We will enjoy our three-course supper and wine pairing in the beautiful orangery with multiple sky lights and chandeliers.

Our wonderful supporters, Stephanie Emma Catering will be providing us with some delicious nibbles on arrival and three courses of fabulous food and our friends at Woods Wines will be hand-selecting the reception drink and wines.

You are invited from 6.30pm with a tour of the house commencing at 7.15pm and dinner at 8pm. There are only 20 places available. email cheryl@chilterncentre.org.uk

It was also wonderful to work on a project with Henley chocolatier Gorvett & Stone as we both celebrate our 20th year.

We held a chocolate tasting competition with the winning chocolate, orange and passion fruit caramel, chosen by seven-year-old Callie Barcella, from Henley. She worked very hard to give some fantastic and thoughtful feedback.

Ten per cent of sales of these new chocolates, named Callie’s Choice, which were mades specially for the competition, will go to the Chiltern Centre. We think they will make a wonderful Christmas gift.

Another fantastic golf day was held at Henley Golf Club in September, which raised a fantastic £3,000 for the centre. Thank you to all who attended. There was also an eventful Regatta for the Disabled at Phyllis Court for us this year during one of the races when a boat capsized.

Everyone coped remarkably well and our resilience and bravery were acknowledged with the presentation of the Carolyn Molyneux Trophy.

We are so proud of our young people, buddies and carers who showed calm and strength and they are looking forward to taking part again next year.

On November 23, we are hosting a special event at the newly renovated bar and the Bottle & Glass pub in Binfield Heath from 6pm to 11pm.

If you are looking for an epic night out, full of singing, dancing and joy, then you are in the right place. By purchasing a ticket you are directly funding the vital, diverse care that we provide.

The main artist in the inceredible local singer and songwriter Adam Isaac.

Tickets include a welcome drink and food. Visit https://buytickets.at/the
