Cafe in search of new home for when youth centre closes

A CAFE which gives young adults with learning difficulties a taste of work is searching for a new home.

The HOT (Henley-on-Thames) Frog is currently based at Henley Youth Centre in Deanfield Avenue, which is to close and the land sold.

The trustees have said they can no longer afford the running costs but the centre is to remain open for some time yet after Henley Town Council decided last week to give it a £5,000 grant.

The café opened in November 2010 and serves 20 to 30 customers a day, including students at The Henley College.

The café is the responsibility of Henley Social Enterprise, a not-for-profit organisation run by staff at the college as a community hub and to give special needs students work experience.
