CHANGES to Henley roads to accommodate the pedestrianisation and trial traffic scheme have been revealed. The scheme will come into force in January. Town councillors heard that a new mini roundabout will be installed in Bell Street to enable lorries delivering to Waitrose to exit the town to the east and south. The “white spot” roundabout will replace the island at the junction of Bell Street and King’s Road and will allow lorries to turn right out of King’s Road to travel towards Reading or London.

An author has been left devastated after thieves broke into her car and stole the computer on which she had written the only copy of her latest book. Mrs Lisa Blakemoore-Brown, a psychologist who works with young offenders and writes on the subject was visiting Henley when her Mazda MX3 was broken into while parked at the top of Norman Avenue.

Hambleden Valley residents are once again living their lives around a film crew as the next Johnny Depp film is currently using the location. This time, the venue is the Hambleden Estate, where the film crew has constructed an entire village, although cameras have also been spotted near Fawley.
