AUSTRALIAN comedian Michelle Brasier, known in her home country as the “girl one” from surrealist comedy group Aunty Donna, took a long look at grief and mortality in her show Average Bear.
Then, just as the covid-19 pandemic started and countries around the world went into lockdown, the Melbourne comic decided to buy a cut-price pilates reformer, only to find she had been scammed. However, she didn’t give in lightly, and turned her focus on the scammer, with intriguing results.
Her ensuing five-star show, Reform, which had a sellout run at last year’s Edinburgh Festival, will play at the South Street Arts Centre in Reading on Saturday, May 25 (8pm).
Tickets cost £21 for the show, which is recommended for ages 15 and over, from whatsonreading.com
