Nursery rated ‘good’ after inspection

A CHILDREN’S nursery in Sonning has been rated “good” by the education watchdog Ofsted.

Staff at Holme Park Day Nursery in Holme Park Lane were praised for taking time to get to know the children, making them feel valued and providing them with a familiar routine and “meaningful” conversations.

Inspectors noted a strong focus on communication and language and an environment where “children feel safe and secure”.

The nursery, which is run by Busy Bees, had been rated “requires improvement” at its previous inspection in April last year.

Director Charlotte Way said: “We are delighted to receive a ‘good’ rating from Ofsted. This wouldn’t have been possible without our dedicated team who have gone above and beyond for our children.

“The team has worked so hard to turn things around by fostering a positive workplace culture, sharing best practices and increased training.”
