Election Candidates: Matt Rodda - Labour (Reading Central)

I BELIEVE that at this general election we have a choice.

There are two governments possible after this election — and two versions of Britain. A Britain where you continue to pay the price of Conservative chaos – in energy bills, mortgage payments, and failing public services. Or a Britain rebuilt by Labour so our economy works for working people.

This country needs change and Labour has a plan to deliver it. Our first steps for change are fully-funded, ready-to-go actions we’ll take on the path to long-term change.

Labour will:

• Deliver economic stability.

• Cut NHS waiting times.

• Launch a new Border Security Command.

• Set up Great British Energy.

• Crack down on antisocial behaviour.

• Recruit 6,500 new teachers.

The Labour Party has changed — it is back in the service of working people. We’re now asking for your support to change Britain. This is my promise to you — we will put country first, party second. Always.

The Conservatives have destroyed any notion they serve the country above themselves. A vote for the Conservatives is a vote for another five years of chaos and decline, with you and your family paying the price.

I will stand up for everyone in the Reading Central constituency. I urge you to vote for Labour on Thursday, July 4. Change will only come if you vote for it.
