ABOUT £2,000 was raised by Emmer Green Pre-School at its summer fair on Saturday.
The event was held in the grounds of the nearby primary school and attractions included Quirks Animal Roadshow with a rabbit, chicken and reptiles, an inflatable slide, bouncy castle, fire engine, coconut shy and mini-jeeps for children.

There were also tag rugby sessions organised by Reading Abbey Rugby Football Club, wellington boot throwing, hook a duck and a raffle with more than 70 prizes donated by local businesses. Tansy Hodges, secretary of the pre-school committee, said: We had a really good turnout and the good weather helped.
The proceeds will go towards equipment and toys for children at the pre-school.
The fair was sponsored by Bridges estate agents in Caversham.
