THE stories of men from Benson who died in the First World War will be told at an exhibition to mark the centenary of the start of the conflict.
Benson and The Great War will be held at the parish hall on Saturday, September 20 from 10.30am to 4pm.
The exhibition will feature posters, photographs and artefacts as well as information about each man named on the village war memorial.
The Roke and Benson Brass Band and the RAF Benson Military Wives Choir will both perform wartime songs and it’s hoped to have readings of poetry and speeches from the era.
Light refreshments will be provided by the Benson WI.
