Shop couple celebrate 50 years of marriage
A COUPLE from Henley who met at a shop have celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.
Mike and Kirsten Trendall marked the occasion by spending a romantic weekend in Paris.
The couple met in 1962 when Mr Trendall worked at an ironmongers in Bell Street, which is now the Temptation Gifts shop.
He said: “It was a huge two-storey shop where you could buy anything but I could never find anything.
“She came in one day and knew where everything was so she used to tell me where to find it all.”
