THE winner of this year’s Henley Standard Christmas turkey competition is Valerie Bishop, of Victoria Road, Wargrave.

Mrs Bishop correctly answered that Barry Wagner, the owner of Gabriel Machin, had taken over the neighbouring Three Tuns pub.

She will receive a turkey and all the trimmings worth £140.
