SOUTH Oxfordshire District Council has released almost £900,000 to help pay for community improvements over the last six months.
The money comes from the Community Infrastructure Levy, which is paid by developers as a condition of their planning permission to build new homes.
Since April, the council has paid out £870,440 to town and parish councils that have new developments being built in their areas.
The funds are used by the councils to improve or create community facilities.
