RESIDENTS are being urged to report when bins are not collected.
Jo Robb, who represents Woodcote and Rotherfield ward on South Oxfordshire District Council, told a meeting of Peppard Parish Council that it was important for missed bin data to be accurate.
In October, changes were made to some bin collection days and rounds by Biffa, the council’s waste management contractor.
Cllr Robb said: “The changes came as a result of a changing demographic and growth in the number of houses.
“There have been some teething problems where some people’s bins have not been collected but there are people not reporting them.
“Every year we scrutinise the performance of Biffa and one of the key performance indicators is no more than 50 out of 100,000 bins missed. Last year it missed its target.
“It’s important to have accurate data so that it can be corrected.”
