Anti-speed crackdown

ABOUT £2,700 is to be spent on tackling speeding in Charvil.

Charvil Parish Council has agreed to buy a second mobile speed indicator device.

It follows concerns raised by councillors about drivers speeding on Park Lane and Waingels Road. The device would also be used on Old Bath Road and the A4.

Councillor Rob Jones told a council meeting: “I think the traffic is enough of a problem that it justifies having two [devices].”
