A SCHOOL in Sonning Common was awarded the top food hygiene rating during an inspection in September.

Maiden Erlegh Chiltern Edge in Reades Lane received five out of five stars as part of the national Scores on the Doors scheme.

The rating means overall standards are “very good” after it was rated for its food hygiene and safety, structural compliance and confidence in management.
