A prison sentence has been handed to a cocaine dealer who gave police fake details when he was stopped in Slough while driving a car without insurance or a licence.
Enes Spahiu, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to supply the class A drug cocaine at Reading Crown Court on Tuesday, November 18.
The 23-year-old, who also pleaded guilty to driving without insurance, a licence, and using or possessing criminal property, was sentenced to one year and ten months in prison. He was also ordered to forfeit cash.
Police stopped Spahiu while he was driving in Tuns Lane on September 8.
Inside his vehicle, officers unearthed a quantity of cash and cocaine which had been individually wrapped in packets. Spahiu had earlier given fake details to police as he did not have a driving licence or insurance.
He was arrested and charged on September 9.
Investigating officer PC Tom Hughes-Parry, from the Berkshire East Proactive Team, said: “Spahiu decided to give officers false details when he was stopped, and on searching his vehicle, a large quantity of class A drugs were located.
“We do not tolerate drug dealing in our communities and will do all that we can to ensure we remove them from the supply chain and place offenders before the courts.
“Drug dealers often target the most vulnerable people in our communities and we will never tire at tackling such offending.”
