Tribute to vicar

REV Sam Brewster paid tribute to Duncan Carter, his predecessor at Holy Trinity Church in Henley, at his retirement service. He wrote a poem called: Duncan Carter: The Tribute.

An extract is as follows: “Always kind and always calm. Got a problem? No alarm. Duncan is here, to lend an ear. His gentle words will soothe your fear.

“Steady, solid, always there. A vicar who really cares.” Good luck Duncan.
