Building a successful learning community

AT Hartes of Henley we want every child to achieve their true potential.

By building a successful learning community that celebrates diversity — and by being welcoming, friendly, thoughtful and supportive in providing a safe place where children can grow and learn together.

We aim to enable children to become independent learners and we help them to develop a positive attitude to education by:

l Giving children time to reflect, practise and learn with no sense of failure.

l Encouraging children to develop a positive attitude with a strong sense of self-respect.

We also provide a high-quality, broad and challenging curriculum based on learning through play with regard to the Early Years Foundation Stage by:

l Building on children’s personal interests and stages of development, encouraging them to reach their true potential.

l Combining the security, happiness and comfort which children could expect to experience at home with the stimulation, learning and social awareness of a professionally run nursery and pre-school experience.

We provide a happy, safe and stimulating environment where children and parents feel welcome and valued, as follows:

l Working with parents in partnership with the setting in helping their children develop and celebrate their achievements.

l Helping children to develop a sense of respect for other people, their ideas and beliefs irrespective of gender, race, disability or academic achievement.

l Responding to the needs of the children and families who live in the local community which enables inclusion for all children.

We sustain quality, best value and good outcomes for children, through effective leadership, management and teaching in all areas.

Hartes of Henley is based at The Pavilion, Meadows Road, Henley, RG9 1BF.
