Body found in River Thames near Wraysbury believed to be missing man

The body of a woman has been recovered from the Jubilee River in Datchet.

Police were called to the scene shortly before 10am on Monday following reports of someone in the water.

Officers recovered the body of a woman, aged in her 60s.

Thames Valley Police said the death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious.

A file is being prepared for the coroner.

The force said the woman’s next of kin have been made aware.

“Our thoughts are with them at this distressing time,” a spokesman for Thames Valley Police said.
