AN annual service of remembrance for people who have lost children and grandchildren will take place next Friday (March 22).
The Footprints service will be held at Holy Trinity Church in Lane End, starting at 7.30pm. It has been organised by the Rev Sue Morton, associate priest for the Hambleden Valley group of churches.
She said: “It may be a time of year when the pain of losing a child is difficult to bear, whether that loss is recent or many years ago. It may also be a time when remembering is important and a significant part of the pathway through grief. We want to support the families who are going through this difficult time.”
Friends, teachers and anyone affected are also welcome. Guests will have the opportunity to light a candle in memory of their loved ones and listen to music, prayers and readings. Tea and cake will also be served afterwards.
