PUPILS at Robert Piggott Infant School in Wargrave dressed as literary characters including Where’s Wally, Harry Potter and Paddington Bear.

The children came to school in their costumes and with their favourite book.

There were two quizzes, including one in which pupils had to identify teachers from photographs of them holding a storybook in front of their faces.

For the second quiz, the first lines of books were written down and the children had to identify which books the sentences came from.

Headteacher Elaine Hughes said: “Children came into school dressed as their favourite character from a book.

“They also brought a favourite book to share with someone else during the day.

“A few junior school children joined us along with some mums and governors, all dressed up.

“We all had such a fabulous day.”
