Carols off

THE Christmas Eve carol service at St Margaret’s Church in Lewknor, has been cancelled.

The parochial church council says that the nine carols and lessons service on December 8 and the crib service on December 24 will not go ahead because of how cold the church was last year. 

Council member Jean Senior said: “Last year the church was so cold and, with no prospect of any heating working, it’s unfair to ask people to sit in those temperatures.”
