STUDENTS and staff at Gillotts School in Henley dressed up as their favourite book character, from Mary Poppins to King Arthur.
They raise money for Book Aid International with a cake sale, which involved pupils across the school.
Students participated in class activities including book dating and friend, family or foe.
Assistant headeacher ??? Sinclair, dressed up as Elizabeth Zott from Lessons in Chemistry and school librarian, ??? Seddon, dressed as an Oompa Loompa from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Mrs Seddon said: “It was great to see some of the students dressed up and entering into the fun of the day and showing their enthusiasm for reading.”
