MEMBERS of the Inner Wheel Club of Reading Maiden Erlegh, which meets at Sonning Golf Club, made 100 squares of blankets for charity to mark the centenary of the organisation, which began in the UK in 1924. It is now one of the largest organisations for women with more than 100,000 members in more than 103 countries. They are pictured with national president Anthea Tilsley (front)
MEMBERS of the youth group at the Chiltern Centre in Henley performed The Silent Boy at the Kenton Theare with much enthusiasm.
Izzy Ansell, marketing manager, said: “It was a packed audience, which was so exciting for our Buddies.”
Gareth John, music therapist and director, says: “The impact of the arts on health and in our community is well-publicised with its capacity to forge connections, promote relatability and empathy as well as grow within us all a sense of self-worth and equality.
“We are so thankful to be a part of a community that promotes this, providing young people of all abilities with the means to express, grow and thrive.”
