THE judging panel for this year’s Illuminated Boat Parade in Henley has been announced.
It will comprise Mayor Rory Hunt, television presenter Edd China, musician Dhani Harrison and Al Heathcote, the general manager of Leander Club.
The annual event, which will take place on Saturday, September 14 from 7.30pm, is for boats of any size or age, powered or unpowered, which should be decorated ready for the parade.
They will parade from Fawley Meadows, past Phyllis Court towards Henley Bridge. They will then turn and pass Leander and the judges, before turning again for a second circuit.
Commentary during the event will be provided by radio disc jockey and television presenter, Mike Read.
Entry to the parade is £40 and includes £7 for mooring during the event.
Last year about 50 boats took part and were watched by more than 3,000 people.
