RESIDENTS of a Henley street held a spring clean sale on Saturday.
People in Albert Road set up tables outside their homes to sell unwanted possessions, such as books, clothes, china and toys.
Some manned their stalls while others allowed buyers to help themselves. The sale was the idea of Zoe Ferreira, who runs the Henley Larder and used to live in America where she witnessed yard sales.
“They’re like a car boot sale on your doorstep,” she said.
“I liked the idea of having a spring clean and a clear-out and suggested it to the neighbours.
“Lots of people were keen as we have a really nice street here. I have a lot of stuff so it took me some time to get it all out.
“It was lovely watching everyone put out their tables and stuff and we were lucky with the weather.
“I managed to sell a lot so I am really pleased and hope my neighbours feel the same.”
