New mum is first woman in half marathon for second year running

A RUNNER who was the fastest women in last year’s Henley half marathon while pregnant has done it aagin.

Emma Langston Davis finished fourth overall in this year’s race on Sunday — with husband Matt and her eight-month-old daughter Gigi watching.

The 36-year-old physiotherapist held her baby in her arms as she was presented with her trophy by Henley Mayor Michelle Thomas.

She said: “I’m very pleased to have won again. I train as hard as I can but it’s quite difficult to find time now with a baby.”

The race winner was Richard Price, of Wootton Road, Henley, who finished second last year.

Almost 300 people took part in half marathon and accompanying shorter races.
