Pub quiz for charity

A QUIZ held at the Catherine Wheel pub in Goring raised £223.

The event was organised to support Jodie Harrison, a University of Reading pharmacy student who is to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of the Meningitis Research Foundation.

The winning team, The Others, donated their winnings to the cause.

Ms Harrison has raised £1,042 so far with various fundraising events, including a bake sale at university.

The next quiz at the Catherine Wheel will take place on Sunday, March 12.
