WARGRAVE Theatre will stage its spring play, A Bunch of Amateurs, at Woodclyffe Hall from Wednesday to Saturday, April 2 to 5.
The play, which was written by Nick Newman, a comedy script writer, and Private Eye editor Ian Hislop, is about Jefferson Steele, a fading Hollywood action star, who is keen to boost his flagging career and arrives in London to play King Lear in Suffolk.
He soon realises the role he has landed is for a play with amateur performers who are bidding to save their theatre from developers.
The production is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French and is being directed by Ann Roberts.
Tickets will be on sale later this month at
www.wargravetheatre.co.uk or call TicketSource on 0333 666 3366.
