A “WILD” Church Remembrance service will be held on Sunday in Medmenham at 2.30pm.

It will take place at the former practice trenches where many young men trained before being sent to the front in the First World War.

The service will learn of John “Charlie” Hold, who is named on the Medmenham war memorial and will hear his final correspondence to his mother in 1917.
