High stakes at circus spectacle

THE latest show from Gifford’s Circus, “Avalon”, is at Stonor Park until Monday and has been performing to packed seats despite the washout.

Directed by Cal McCrystal, the show blends a combination of carefully honed skills with magic and trickery.

Themed on medieval pageantry and Arthurian legend, there are high ropes, balancing acts, spinning hoops, twirling dancers and much more, all accompanied by a live band.
