THE Hardwick Estate in Whitchurch is to host its first squash and pumpkin festival on October 27.

The event will take place in the estate’s walled garden and will be run by Ian and Rose Tolhurst, of Tolhurst Organic Produce.

There will be an exhibition of large pumpkins and squash, crafts inspired by nature, live music, art, food tastings and home-made refreshments.

The festival runs from 11am to 5pm and entry is free. There is a £5 charge per car for parking.
