WARM spaces are being offered to residents of Gallowstree Common, Kidmore End and Peppard who are struggling to afford to heat their homes.
A mobile “conversation café” offers tea and coffee and a warm place to meet other people.
It takes place four days a week, from 11.30am to 1pm and 2pm to 3.30pm as follows: Monday and Friday, the cricket club pavilion in Gallowstree Common; Wednesday, Kidmore End parish room in Wood Lane; Thursday, Peppard Cricket Club in Stoke Row Road.
Café organisers Jane Mather, a Kidmore End parish councillor, and Sarah Wilkinson are appealing for volunteers to offer lifts for residents and help with serving hot drinks.
Kidmore End Cricket Club is helping to fund the refreshments.
For more information, call Mrs Mather on 07768 791429 or email jane.makower.
