AFTER our two outings, one to the Berkshire Downs and the other to Dorchester, we took a break for August.

We’re looking forward to meeting up again for our autumn lectures, which will be at Goring Heath parish hall on Thursdays at 7.30pm (coffee from 7pm).All are welcome.

The forthcoming talks are as follows:

October 19 — Writer Carolyn Milner on “Women with wings”.

She will look at the role of female flyers and explain how she researches her historical fiction.

November 16 — Alastair Lack, erstwhile BBC foreign correspondent, on “Travels with Auntie”.
