TWO hair and beauty salons in Goring have been given a facelift.
Albert Fields and Virgo Beauty, both in High Street, have been refurbished.
The inside of Albert Fields has been reconfigured to create more room for staff and customers.
Owner Sarah Collins, who opened the salon in 2011, has reused the original chairs, furniture and fixtures and fittings while repurposing materials as much as possible in line with her ambition to reduce the carbon footprint of the business.
The salon now has 14 members of staff, including three apprentices.
Virgo Beauty is back up and running following a makeover. Sarah Virgo-Harris, who runs the salon and another branch in Pangbourne with her husband Tony, said: “It has been a busy start to the new year, not only with our beauty treatments but also our hairdressing service in Pangbourne, where we have more space to offer a wider range of services and treatments. We are also recruiting new staff and expanding our teams in both salons.”
Last month, the Henley Standard reported how the Luke Robert Hair salon, also in High Street, had been rebranded and is now known as Saco.
It is owned by 24-year-old Luke Hawkins, who took it over from his mother three years ago.
