Kennylands secure two-piece county honours

SONNING Common-based Kennylands Gymnastics Club returned with a huge medal haul and multiple county champion medals after competing at the women’s artistic gymnastics Oxfordshire two piece competition at Abingdon Gymnastics Club.

In the U8s, Bailey Blyth won silver award on bars and bronze on the floor while Betsy Kendall gained silver on vault and bronze on floor. Amy Evans won silver award on bars and floor, Ada Anstey silver on bars and bronze on floor while Lillie-Mae secured bronze on both bars and floor.

Erum Ullah was second on the vault and floor in the zinc juniors with Autumn Tier second on bars and fifth on floor.

Alexa Hughes was first on beam and floor in the copper juniors with Melia Drummond second on beam and sixth on floor and Darcy Rawson second on vault and third on bars. In the copper seniors, Orla Hughes was fourth on vault and second on bars, Jess Jones first on beam and sixth on floor, Hollie Mackin third on bars and floor, Naomi Haines fifth on beam, Natalia Wojciechowska fourth on bars and third on beam, on Bars, Sienna Cotton third on vault and fourth on beam and Tanaya Coultress second on vault and beam.

Arabella Cooper was first on vault and second on beam in pre fig development while Amelia Caffyn was second on beam and first on floor in fig development two. In CC silver, Jessica Telling was first on beam and floor while Zoë Steiner was second on vault in zinc lite juniors with Emilia Sutherland sixth on vault and bars and Olivia Ford first on vault. In zinc lite seniors, Katie Towers was sixth on floor.

Elsewhere there was a good peformance by both Claudia Robinson and Sawako Etherington who competed in a large and tough category at one of their first competitions.
