Year 6 pupils at Hemdean House School in Caversham achieved a 93 per cent pass rate in their SATs, compared with the national average of 61 per cent.
Headteacher Nigel Balchin said: “I would like to congratulate all the pupils and their teachers on these excellent results, which are very well-deserved.
This success is a great achievement but is only one element of the pupils’ Hemdean House education.
The school is equally as focused on developing each child’s potential while building their individual levels of confidence, self-esteem, compassion and respect, which are equally as important as their formal academic education.”
