Swimming events for summer

THREE open water swimming events will once again be held in Henley next summer.

Henley Swim has launched its calendar of events for 2023, which are now open for registtraton. 

The Selkie Henley Classic, a 2.1km swim on the regatta course, will take place at 4am on Sunday, June 25, starting at Temple Island Meadows. Adult early bird entry costs £65.

The Outdoor Swimmer Henley Swim Festival will take place between 9am and 4pm on Sunday, July 9 also from Temple Island Meadows. Entry costs from £24.

This will include a 200m race for swimmers aged over eight, mile and half-mile swims and a four-mile challenge. 

The 1.5km Club to Pub swim from Henley Rowing Club to the Angel on the Bridge will take place at 6.45pm on Saturday, July 22. A post-swim party will be held at the pub with a barbecue, drinks and awards. 

The Thames Marathon will take place on Sunday, August 13 from 7am, starting in Higginson Park, Marlow. Early bird marathon entry costs £130 and half marathon entry costs £95.
