DONATIONS of gifts are wanted for a traditional Ukrainian Christmas party for children on Monday, December 19.
Refugees and hosts are working together to put on the event at Remenham village hall, which the parish council has let them use for free from 4pm to 8pm.
The date celebrates St Nicholas and is traditionally marked in Ukraine with parties where children receive gifts.
About 30 children are expected to attend the party and volunteers are wrapping gifts for them all.
Organiser Miriam Kandiah said: “If you would like to support this, we would welcome donations. This could be anything from chocolate bars to school supplies, woolly hats or novelty items.”
Donations can be wrapped or unwrapped and can be collected or taken to 44 Northfield End, Henley.
