A MAN has been pointing a fake speed gun at drivers in St Mark’s Road in Henley.
Thames Valley Police said the unidentified man has been trying to slow down traffic in the 20mph road.
While there is no specific offence for using a fake speed gun, creating a fake fixed speed camera could be considered a planning breach.
Pcso Claire Hewett, who is based at Henley station, said: “If you are the male, know of the male, or would like to find out about Community Speed Watch, then please make contact with me.”
Volunteers on the speed watch scheme monitor the speed of passing vehicles using a handheld device.
Drivers caught will receive a letter alerting them to their speed, but will receive no fine.
