Survey ordered to find cause of pond’s falling water levels

THIS is a giant breed of tortoise — like the Galapagos giants — from the islands of the Aldabra Atoll in the Seychelles.
These tortoises are not your typical smaller, domestic breeds you may have at home.
They also actively enjoy interaction with the public and are happy to be stroked and fussed as they have lovely temperaments and great personalities.
They don’t frighten people by making a noise, or chasing them or jumping up and people are not allergic to them and do not feel intimidated by them.
The tortoises will be at the show in a 12m by 12m fenced area where visitors can view them from three or four sides. Visitors are encouraged to ask questions and interact with the animals as this helps educate people who do keep them or are thinking of taking on a tortoise as a pet.
For a small donation, you will be allowed to go into the arena to take photographs and get up close and stroke the tortoises.
