GOLD rings worth more than £1,000 were stolen from a Henley shop on Tuesday.
The 10 rings were taken from a dealer’s cabinet at Vintage Look in Hart Street. Most were set with stones.
Shop owner Anthony Galloway said: “The dealer who owns the cabinet is clearly very upset about the theft, particularly as it was her first day of selling in the shop.
“It’s gut-wrenching really, it’s an awful situation.”
The collection, which contained many pieces belonging to the dealer and her mother, contained five 18 carat gold rings and five nine carat gold rings as well as a pair of earrings and a necklace. The rings contained sapphires, diamonds, rubies and topaz.
Anyone with information should call Thames Valley Police on 101 or the shop on (01491) 413931.
