Golf day raises £3,500 for disabled charity

A GOLF day in Caversham raised more than £3,500 for Building For the Future, a children’s disability charity.

Sixteen teams took part in the 18-hole competition at The Caversham Golf Club in Chazey Heath.

Players also took part in challenges including best team, longest drive, nearest the pin and beat the pro, which was won by Nigel Roberts who was playing for the Pioneer Group.

The overall winning team was BDO LLP, which comprised Robert Gorman, Charles Thornton-Dibb, James Leatherbarrow and Andrew Parkinson.
