Poacher hunt

RESIDENTS of Tokers Green were told to stay inside their homes amid reports of poaching in the area.

Armed police officers, sniffer dogs, and a national air police service helicopter were called out to a field off Sheepways Lane and Tokers Green Lane at 7pm on Saturday.

Tokers Green Lane was closed for more than an hour while police searched the area.

Officers recovered an air rifle but found no-one present. The investigation is ongoing.
