A PARCEL of Woodland between Lane End and Frieth has sold for £27,000 at auction.

The land, which measures approximately 0.66 acres, went under the hammer on Thursday last week and attracted 24 bids at Clive Emson Land and Property Auctioneers in Maidstone.

Auctioneer Clive Emson said there was “strong interest” in the plot, south east of Moor Common.

Auction appraiser Paul Wood said: “Land sales always do well at Clive Emson Auctions because many people fancy being a landowner and I was not surprised at the strong interest shown in this woodland.

“According to the seller, the land was previously used as an orchard. We considered the site may offer potential for a range of uses, subject to all necessary consents being obtainable.”
