Volkswagen is no exception and to keep us on the hop up until its launch at the upcoming Paris Motor Show — which runs from October 1 to 16 — the German carmaker has released a teaser.
Under the enigmatic (what else?) heading “Think new — iconic design study with the potential to define history”, VW is flagging up a concept car as “revolutionary as the Beetle was seven decades ago”.
That’s some tall order! But anyway, this is one of the first pictures of this concept car released this week from VW HQ in Wolfsburg.
It is a sliver of a look at a new electric vehicle and Volkswagen promises that “the production vehicle which follows will be the first Volkswagen to enter the market based on the new modular electrification kit (MEB)”.
As I said, Volkswagen wants us all to “Think New” when buying into this project.
“This one-of-a-kind concept car signals the Volkswagen brand’s entry into a new era,” a VW spokesman said.
“The vehicle is as revolutionary as the Beetle was seven decades ago, before it evolved into the world’s best-selling car of the last century.
“This car, too, has the potential to make history with its completely new vehicle concept.”
