Sax player born into music

SAXOPHONIST Tom Waters is only 21 but has been touring since he was eight with his father, honky-tonk and boogie-woogie pianist Ben Waters.

The Tom Waters Electric People Band will be performing at the Crooked Billet in Stoke Row next month.

Tom graduated with honours from the Royal Academy of Music, where he studied jazz and blues saxophone while also playing and recording music with people such as Lulu, the Rolling Stones, Jools Holland, Rod Stewart, Mike d’Abo and Johnny Depp.

He is a regular in Jools Holland’s Rhythm and Blues Orchestra.

He also models for Ralph Lauren and recently recorded a new Coca-Cola TV and cinema advert featuring Kate Moss and Joséphine de la Baume.
