THE next concert for Aliquando Chamber Choir, “Glorious Melodies”, takes place at St Mary’s Church in Henley on Saturday, November 8.

The choir will have an orchestra led by Amanda Sadler, with keyboards by Ian Westley, conducted by Anne Evans.

Guest soloists are soprano Meryl Davies, mezzo-soprano Rosemary Clifford, tenor Alex Haigh and bass baritone Daniel Tate.

The concert is in aid of Helen and Douglas House and tickets are also available from its shop in Henley.

Anne Evans says: “Our concerts have raised more than £70,000 since they first started. The wonderful community that we belong to helps make sure that we give a decent amount to the charity that we’ve chosen.”

Music will include Sweelinck, Hassler, Charpentier, Delibes, Bizet, Elgar, Whitacre, Jenkins and Coleridge. The concert starts at 7pm (doors open at 6pm) and tickets cost £25 reserved, £20 unreserved. For more information, call (01491) 578238 or visit aliquando.co.uk
